I went to the California state high school wrestling championships this weekend and watched a technical and physical specimen. This kid was built like a Mac truck and won his 3rd consecutive state championship and a full ride scholarship to college powerhouse Penn State.
While watching him from the stands completely disseminate his opponents a couple of things kept coming to mind. His anabolic and lactate thresholds had to be off the charts. What’s the mean?
In our Fit Fight (cardio class) we are taking the body through a myriad of different training and conditioning exercises which are constantly challenging the body. Changing the exercise routine keeps the body guessing what’s coming next. By shocking the muscles you can continue to make improvements in what you can ask your body to do.
If you can work harder for longer periods of time you are generally going to have a great advantage over your opponents. Hopefully we never have to use this in a combat situation but it’s better to have it than not to have it. Happy training.
